Lee Reid
Principal & Lead Architect
Since 2024, Lee Reid has served as Principal and Lead Architect of Planera + Reid, a community-focused Chicagoland architecture firm dedicated to educational and civic design. He establishes the creative vision and execution standards for every project, guiding teams from early concept development through final construction documentation. His leadership balances imagination with technical precision, ensuring outcomes that are both inspiring and fully buildable.
Before co-founding Planera + Reid, Lee was President of Revere Properties, a Chicago-based real estate development firm he launched in 2004. Revere delivered integrated services across architecture, construction management, and electrical contracting — reflecting Lee’s long-standing belief in cohesive, collaborative project delivery. That integrated perspective continues to shape the strategic approach of this Chicagoland architecture firm, reinforcing accountability from design through construction.
Lee is a licensed architect in Illinois and Indiana and a Certified Construction Manager (CMAA). He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago, with a focus on Construction Technology and Environmental Systems. A proud graduate of Thornton Township High School, Lee remains deeply rooted in southern Cook County and committed to mentoring emerging professionals.
Throughout his career, he has championed diversity, access, and opportunity in the built environment — helping advance a more inclusive and forward-thinking future for architecture and construction across Chicagoland.
